Hibernate your computer for a faster start up

Windows XP takes a lot of time to start, If you hate waiting like me then you must consider using hibernation option instead of turnoff for a faster startup.

To do this,

1.Hold down the “shift” key in the shutdown dialog to change the “Stand By” to “Hibernate“.

2. Or You can just press H to hibernate instantly.

To enable hibernation go to control panel and click on power options and click on hibernation tab and check the enable hibernation box. To enable hibernation  you should have sufficient free space in C drive. Check the screenshot below if you have any problemsEnable hibernation in windows

You can even use the Power Control Panel to configure your power button to hibernate. To do this click on the advanced tab and modify power buttons options according to your convenience.( Check the screen shot below)
