Apple sucks big time
Apple is generally known for their innovation and for designing user-friendly products ( at least they claim). They innovate complex features and forget some simple, common and must have features. I bought a iPod touch 3 months back. I was too lazy to share its review, but now im sick of their over hyped products and theirs fucking updates for which they are charge. They charge for the features which are too obvious to anyone, and give it a colour of innovation.
My friend bought a first generation iPod touch. He was slapped by apple on both the cheeks for purchasing apple product. They added new features to second generation iPod touch and reduced its price by 70$, they should have at least given a hint of what’s coming up. They are not some secret service or a defense organization. Give some value to your customers, why did my friend pay you extra 70+10 dollars??
I hate apple because..
Apple sucks
- Their products are over hyped.
- Overpriced.
- There’s no search feature in iPod touch, you don’t expect me to scroll through 30 gb of songs to find a song I’m looking for. They introduced this feature in 3.0, for which I have to pay 10 USD. Congratulations for this great innovative idea of adding a search function, listening music on iPod is more fun now. FYI, my Nokia n70 had this feature long long back.Symbian operating knew this feature since it early days, may be you missed it innovating complex things.
- Now you can cut and paste on your iPod touch and iPhone. That’s a great feature, you guys really rock. yaaaaay apple rocks.
- There is no microphone, fm radio and Bluetooth on my iPod.
- You cannot send mms, cannot capture video on your iPhone, no cut and paste until the recent update. What are you people doing? What are you innovating?
- They invented the “in ear” headphones which are priced at 79 USD. Well i think you people should check what other people in the market are doing, you get these inear headphones on most models of Sony Ericsson phones at no extra cost.
- Honestly, audio quality is a lot better on Sony Ericsson mobile phone with in ear earphones than a iPod.
- I cannot use my iPod touch as a usb drive. Even my n70 can be put in mass storage mode.
- I cannot edit playlists are save playlists on my iPod touch except for the one “on the go” playlist.
- They annoy me with their reminders on software updates, and force me to dlaod them
- I cannot install the update on my ipod unless i update my itunes. I have the version jut previous to the latest one.
- There is a pdf reader in iPod, but i cannot load my pdfs into it, WTF.
- I cannot associate my iTunes account with more than five pcs, WTF. I format my pc very frequently. According to them if i format my pc more than 5 times, I should get a new iTunes account and buy all the apps again. I don’t have gold mines dude. Why don’t you just give a number to my ipod and associate with my iTunes account? It’s not common that people have a more than 5 ipods.
- You cannot copy your music from your iPod to another pc, same is the case if your pc crashes. You should either lose your music collection on the ipodTouch are purchase a third-party software to rip the music.
- You cannot mute the songs from your earphone. If someone is talking to you then, you have to pull out the ipodtouch from your pocket, press the home button, then the music icon and then pause.
There still a lot more to say and the list would be endless if start about all the other apple products. If you have anything to say please feel to drop in, i will append them to the above list.
I even quit the idea of buying a mac book after i bought the iPod Touch, I would rather go for a vaio, dell or Toshiba laptop with windows 7.
Mac is a museum with beautiful walls, you don’t get to touch anything. Your hands are tied, so it’s the same every day. But a PC is a workshop with lot of tools, and you have a complete control over your pc.
Listen Mac lovers, you claim that macs are stable. They are stable because you cannot try anything new, you do what it commands you to do. Your hands are tied if you use an apple product.
You know, a soap-bubble can last for years if left undisturbed??

I usualy compare MAC to Barby doll, and PC to LEGO. First one is good looking peace of crap, and u have to pay for all the extras (cars, house, dresses e.t.c). Second one is LEGO… well i think u all know what u can do with LEGO

Why can’t you simply run BootCamp on your mac? You get both. Windows and Mac! Stay Happy! And also regarding the iPod Touch, the Copy/Paste thing just sucked. Took 3 years to release it.

Nobody is holding a gun to someone’s head to buy an Apple device. If you do not like it, do not buy it.
As slick as marketing can be, luck will run out if product or features were not liked by consumers. Apple is not a monopoly in the music player market. If over-hyped, over-marketed and overpriced, they will lose market share and cease to exist.
Whatever anyone says, the Apple product is probably the best of the available lot. Someone may say, Apple does not have this but some other device has it (but this other device may not have 5 things that Apple does not do or may not do as good).
Most of the time I find that the Apple hateboys find Apple devices pricey and their other favorite device (maybe with better features as per their opinion) not able to achieve the same level of success as Apple’s. On the other side, Apple fanboys do not like to take any criticism whatsoever and brand everything else as crap or no innovation.

It took me freakin forever to find a radio app tht didnt require internet and i had to pay for it… wtf? no. not gona happen. i got rid of my touch, like it was fun, but SAMSUNG can make a better mp3 with radio, bluetooth, and games. Whoopy… GO MACINTOSH!…. not…
I absolutely agree with every single person who HATES APPLE IPODs. I am so tired,so exhausted and sick of this the biggest fraud company and product! it’s not about 15 or more reasons,even one reason is enough to hate it.The fact that you’ve got to keep on buying everything,after buying this fancy stupid ipod for 200$,you have to pay too listen to music,to protect it,to this to that..oh,god..simply,you can’t transfer your own music from your own computer at damn thing! you have to go to itunes and buy it:) very simple,right? You can transfer your music to an iPod. iTunes will load and use ANY mp3 (assuming there’s no DRM problem, which is the fault of the place where you got it). If your music is on CD, iTunes will allow you to rip your CD into iTunes and load it onto your iPod. That you think none of this can be done indicates only that you don’t know how to use iTunes.
As for buying music. CDs generally can be acquired in music STORES, where discs containing the music you want are SOLD to you, in exchange for money. If you prefer not to buy a CD and prefer instead to get your music in an mp3 format, you have to BUY it, same as you would a CD. Copyright laws are not Apple’s fault. Write your senator.
If you’re going to speak so adamantly about something, you probably ought to make sure you know what you’re talking about first.

You forgot a few. How about:
17. You can’t drag and drop music/pictures/videos. You are forced to use iTunes, which is not user friendly at all.
18. An 8 gig Touch only gives you 7 gigs of space, but they still call it an 8 gig. An 8 gig Sansa actually holds 8 gigs of music! How can Apple get away with advertising it as 8 gigs when it’s really only 7 gigs? And don’t give me this crap about how the operating system uses a gig. If that’s the case they should put an extra 1 gig chip in it to hold the OS, or advertise it as 7 gigs. The way I see it, they cheated me out of 13% of the space they told me it contains.
19. Why on earth does it take so long to sync??? Mine only holds 8 gigs of data, but it usually takes 4 to 6 hours to sync! Of course, that time includes all of the times it freezes up in the middle of the sync and has to be restarted. I’d say that I usually have to restart the sync 5 to 10 times before it finally works. My wife has the same problem and she uses a different computer. My daughter has the same problem and she uses a third computer. Every Touch in my house has sync problems, but we’re all using different computers. Of course, when I complain to the guys at the idiot bar they tell me it’s because I’m using a PC. They fail to realize that 95% of the computers on the planet are PC’s and if their software/hardware has trouble working with PCs, it’s not the PC’s fault. They need to fix their crappy software!
20. iTunes in a 90 meg download! NINETY MEGS!!! All it needs to do is copy files from my hard drive to my iPod. Why on earth would it need to be NINETY MEGS??? The entire Windows 95 operating system fit on 7 floppy discs, meaning it was about 11 megs at the most. That was an entire operating system! iTunes is just a glorified file transfer program and it is a NINETY MEG DOWNLOAD!
21. The genius bar sucks. Couldn’t they at least put in a few chairs for people to sit in while they’re waiting to talk to the “geniuses” (LMAO! What a stupid name). Or, maybe they could put up one of those rope things like they use at amusement parks to keep people in line. But no, the people mill around, waiting for their turn to get their POS iPod fixed. Apple puts a couple of bean bag chairs near the idiot bar for people to sit in if they are so inclined, but I’m a 40 year old man. I’m not going to sit in a silly-ass bean bag chair.
22. Speaking of the line at the genius bar, WHY THE HELL IS THE LINE SO LONG??? WHY DO I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET MY REPEATEDLY BROKEN IPOD SWAPPED OUT? I would think Apple would want to hide the genius bar someplace where the people buying Apple products couldn’t see it. Every time I go to the Apple store there are at least 10 or 12 people milling around the genius bar, waiting for their turn to get their broken product fixed. To me, that speaks very poorly of Apple products. Best Buy sells hundreds of different brands of thousands of products, yet their repair counter is never as busy as Apple’s genius bar. I wonder why…
I could go on and on. In my opinion, Apple sucks. Now that Google Android is out I’ll never have a need to buy an Apple product again. EVER.
If you look beyond the Apple advertising campaign and the overhyped popularity, Apple is really priced upon exclusivity (the fact that Apple products are, like jewelry, shiny uselessness that just looks good). Cmon, 10 bucks for an update? shouldn’t that be included with my already expensive purchase?
On the other hand, Microsoft (not saying their good) actually cares about the customers! FREE UPDATES, NO FUCKING DRM, OPEN LIBRARY OMFG !!! Also, people actually gives a shit about Windows to make viruses, while on Mac, why would you want to make a virus theres nothing to attack!

Your list makes it clear that you fall into the second camp. If you could manage to drag yourself into the third camp, you’d see that much of what you’ve listed here is completely meaningless.
1: ALL companies hype their products – it’s called marketing. Microsoft has commercials too, but for some reason you don’t hate them. That Apple products generate buzz is the fault of the irrational fanboy community (Camp 1). Ask any marketing executive – they would all absolutely love to have the kind of consumer response Apple does.
2: If you don’t like Apple’s prices, don’t buy one. This is your power as a consumer. If you were selling a product, and people indicated a willingness to pay $100 for it, would you charge $50, just because you’re so sweet? I doubt it.

5: My Mazda doesn’t have a turbo or a force field. I wish it had those. Should I hate Mazda because of that? I don’t, because I understand that manufacturers decide what features to include in a product, and the market decides whether the product’s features make it worth buying. Apple chose not to include certain things in iPods. If you don’t like their choice, buy something else.

7: I don’t recall Apple ever claiming to have invented the in-ear headphone. Sure, they sell them, and they do so at an inflated price. See #2, above.

11: Seriously? Have you ever used Windows? If you have, then you’d know that Microsoft CONSTANTLY pushes updates on you. You fault Apple for a lack of features or for problems, and then you fault them for correcting them? How else do you propose they distribute updates other than by offering them for download?
12: ALL software progresses to new versions, even software made by Microsoft. If a new version of iPod uses features unique to a new version of iTunes, wouldn’t it make sense to require the new version of iTunes? Maybe Apple should distribute 50 different versions of iPod software every time there’s an update, just to accommodate people who don’t want to update iTunes…

14: This is a DRM issue, and it was imposed upon Apple by the companies that allow Apple to distribute their music. Your argument is with them, not Apple. Remember a little while ago, when Apple spearheaded the efforts to strip DRM from music files? Remember that? Apple stuck its neck out and used its market leverage (the very thing you bemoan) to help consumers. Note also, if Windows is such a magical software solution, why are you having to wipe your PC so often? Perhaps you need to reevaluate what you do with your computer, or perhaps the operating system you use. Maybe that will help you with that issue.

Mines for sale, cheap. Just returned from a week out of town with an ipod that refused to be of any use until I connected it to my mac ( 5000 miles away) It didn’t like the hotel wifi.
