Apple sucks big time
Apple is generally known for their innovation and for designing user-friendly products ( at least they claim). They innovate complex features and forget some simple, common and must have features. I bought a iPod touch 3 months back. I was too lazy to share its review, but now im sick of their over hyped products and theirs fucking updates for which they are charge. They charge for the features which are too obvious to anyone, and give it a colour of innovation.
My friend bought a first generation iPod touch. He was slapped by apple on both the cheeks for purchasing apple product. They added new features to second generation iPod touch and reduced its price by 70$, they should have at least given a hint of what’s coming up. They are not some secret service or a defense organization. Give some value to your customers, why did my friend pay you extra 70+10 dollars??
I hate apple because..
Apple sucks
- Their products are over hyped.
- Overpriced.
- There’s no search feature in iPod touch, you don’t expect me to scroll through 30 gb of songs to find a song I’m looking for. They introduced this feature in 3.0, for which I have to pay 10 USD. Congratulations for this great innovative idea of adding a search function, listening music on iPod is more fun now. FYI, my Nokia n70 had this feature long long back.Symbian operating knew this feature since it early days, may be you missed it innovating complex things.
- Now you can cut and paste on your iPod touch and iPhone. That’s a great feature, you guys really rock. yaaaaay apple rocks.
- There is no microphone, fm radio and Bluetooth on my iPod.
- You cannot send mms, cannot capture video on your iPhone, no cut and paste until the recent update. What are you people doing? What are you innovating?
- They invented the “in ear” headphones which are priced at 79 USD. Well i think you people should check what other people in the market are doing, you get these inear headphones on most models of Sony Ericsson phones at no extra cost.
- Honestly, audio quality is a lot better on Sony Ericsson mobile phone with in ear earphones than a iPod.
- I cannot use my iPod touch as a usb drive. Even my n70 can be put in mass storage mode.
- I cannot edit playlists are save playlists on my iPod touch except for the one “on the go” playlist.
- They annoy me with their reminders on software updates, and force me to dlaod them
- I cannot install the update on my ipod unless i update my itunes. I have the version jut previous to the latest one.
- There is a pdf reader in iPod, but i cannot load my pdfs into it, WTF.
- I cannot associate my iTunes account with more than five pcs, WTF. I format my pc very frequently. According to them if i format my pc more than 5 times, I should get a new iTunes account and buy all the apps again. I don’t have gold mines dude. Why don’t you just give a number to my ipod and associate with my iTunes account? It’s not common that people have a more than 5 ipods.
- You cannot copy your music from your iPod to another pc, same is the case if your pc crashes. You should either lose your music collection on the ipodTouch are purchase a third-party software to rip the music.
- You cannot mute the songs from your earphone. If someone is talking to you then, you have to pull out the ipodtouch from your pocket, press the home button, then the music icon and then pause.
There still a lot more to say and the list would be endless if start about all the other apple products. If you have anything to say please feel to drop in, i will append them to the above list.
I even quit the idea of buying a mac book after i bought the iPod Touch, I would rather go for a vaio, dell or Toshiba laptop with windows 7.
Mac is a museum with beautiful walls, you don’t get to touch anything. Your hands are tied, so it’s the same every day. But a PC is a workshop with lot of tools, and you have a complete control over your pc.
Listen Mac lovers, you claim that macs are stable. They are stable because you cannot try anything new, you do what it commands you to do. Your hands are tied if you use an apple product.
You know, a soap-bubble can last for years if left undisturbed??

huh we don’t suffer a bit dude, i have been using windows [/diff] and linux[scientific linux,fedora,ubuntu, suse,mandriva] for long, as dual boot also on linux desktops, I work on linux platform, I get the things done by myself or with a strong community to back, given all that, the piece of craps apple fan boys – are hard to bear with their nasty comments on the pc users whenever they get a chance or even when they don’t , their apple loyalty is way beyond someone with a piece of brain can comprehend.

i bought an iPod Touch on ebay the other day. It’s a fricking toy. It’s like the Buzz Lightyear of mp3 players: It can do a million amazing, gimicky things. There are a few things it can’t do, however. In Buzz’s case, he can’t fly fly to the moon (ironic, seeing as he’s an “astronaut”). In the iPods case? it can’t play music that doesn’t sound like shit. Honestly, the sound quality sucks so much that you’ll wonder how they’re even able to sell it as an MP3 player. It’s a f*cking joke.
Luckily I managed to sell it on (to someone that likes gimmicks, presumably). Now I’ve got a Samsung P3. Awesome.
I honestly don’t see the point of the iPod touch. Take away the “touch” part and you’re left with a shit laptop and an even shitter mp3 player.
And you have to pay for the fricking apps? Driver the playstation game, for free!! no, it’s not. It’s the training level. What a rip off! How much money does someone need to be able to afford one of these things???

I have an IPod Touch 2g and when I want to download some file it starts downloading and then suddenly the wifi turns off and restarts. Ahhhhh!! I hate when that happens because I have to download it again and it takes like an hour. Fuck u apple fix that if u can!!!

I’m Not a Scammer or a Fake. I’m trying to seriously get apple to reconsider the way they make things and sell them.
I agree with everything except your one comparison. That is because the one with the bikes makes linux look like junk. I run linux (am running it right now) because it is faster than windows by far. I’m running a 64 bit os vs the 32 bit os that came with it and it runs faster because it is linux. Not to mention everything is free and their are alternatives to everything windows has that are just as good. Linux isn’t just a bunch of junk. Maybe a bunch of parts but that is because you can build it any way you like. And that is the problem with macs. Theyre based of of unix (what linux is based on) and they kept all the good looks got rid of the functionality and placed price tags on everything. I’ve got a software center full of 1000s upon 1000s of free softwares. Free Free Free Free and not to mention i can mess with any realm of computers for free. Recording software, programming software, minor gaming, web design etc
yes, ipod touch sucks.. and i’ve been only one week with this thing.
* you can charge it only with computer (or usb charger from apple, others won’t work)
* bluetooth – ONLY for earphones? seriously.. with all those map applications, i can not connect my BT BPS with it.
* so many applications for managing files, viewing documents etc.. but you can’t get any documents to ipod, only music and vieos.
so. if you can’t do anything with ipod except listening music.. why it has to be that big?
if it should be like PDA- why it just cant work as one?

I recommend not buying ANY hardware/software until you find that it can do EVERYTHING you want.
I never pay attn to the buzz other than the very valid reason that the more buzz, the more buyers, the more user support after the manufacturer drops it.
The iPod is just a player, the first generation of ANY hardware (and most software) is for fanboys ONLY. Even a couple generations down, I still wouldn’t go back and pick up 1st gen unless I was absolutely sure (google is your friend) it did all I wanted for the price.
Windows – may pay more attn to security, but goes it’s own route.
Linux – most secure, capable, but you end up spending all of your time making it do everything you want it to do, and lose the same time using it once configured to do the things you need to do.
Apple – best compromise. Built on Linux (alright, BSD, but all same unix derivative fanboys aside) so can be configured more if needed, but I work in an IT shop and while I continually have had to rebuild windows boxen from viruses, have yet to do same for macs. Windows has more old free standalone apps, but half of them don’t even work with 7.

this is not true that i pod touch s****. its dam good and fun if u have a wi-fi around you. just go to appstore and download games. i own 354 games in my ipod touch. if your ipod is jailbroken then you can get a cydia or rock….in my opinion apple is good and windows suks like hell!!!
