Now we download stuff almost daily. New products pop out so often. You can use any software forever you want. You can download trial version, right. Trial version expires after some days. You can stop that expiration. You can tell trial version of the software to not count days or do not bother about time. The software will stay and keep working like original software forever and will not expire or cease to work. You do not have to change your system clock. This little software does it all.

Time Stopper : use Trial Version software forever without Expiration

Time Stopper is the software which can stop the time for try out version software. When you stop the time you can use your try-out versions forever. When you stop the time of a try-out version using this Time Stopper it works via this Time Stopper. Real time and date run normally on your system. You can use any number of try-out version softwares with this software.

How it Works

Open Time Stopper

Browse and select .exe of required trial software

Choose the new date (Any date which occurs in between your trial software time period before expiration, suggestion: set it to two days before trial software expiration date.)

Choose any time

Click open software on your selected date

If you wish to create an icon for your modified trial software and do not want to open Time stopper every time then use last button in software to create new icon. open that trial software after that from that newly created icon always otherwise it can expire.

Size: 844 KB

Task manager is a powerful Windows tool for managing system services, processes, monitoring system activity and starting or closing applications. It is basically extended version of run box and it comes very handy to operate within Windows system. That’s way many system administrators prefer to disable task manager on public computers to restrict access to major critical system resources which could lead to system compromise. Here we will show you how to modify registry to disable and re-enable Windows task manager.

Goto start and click on run(Win+r) and type in regedit and find this input

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System.

If you do not see “System” folder under Policies you can create it by right mouse click on Policies > Key > and name it System. Than point your mouse pointer to an empty area, right click it and choose create new DWORD (32 bit) value. Name it DisableTaskMgr and press enter. Than double click it and set Hexadecimal value to 1. Press enter and reboot computer. After than task manager will be disabled on your machine and inaccessible. If you later decide to enable task manager again, navigate once against to dword 32 value we just created and simply delete it or change value to 0. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

If there’s no key called “System” right click Policies navigate to “New -> Key” in the right click menu and type “System” to create a new key.(skip this step if you have the key) To disable task manager right click the empty area in the right side pane and create a key with the following settings “New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value” and type “DisableTaskMgr” and press Enter.(without the quotes) Right click on “DisableTaskMgr” and click “Modify”, type 1 and press ok(see screen caps for more info) to enable task manager simply navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

All Windows XP machine has Remote Desktop service that allows the computer to be remotely connected, accessed and controlled from another computer or host. However, all windows XP machine except Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Media Center Edition only allows one concurrent remote desktop connection from a single user. But Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Media Center Edition will allow multiple remote desktop sessions or multiple concurrent remote desktop connections from a single user.

Whenever a remote user client tries to connect to a Windows XP host, the local user will disconnect with the local console screen locking them, with or without his or her permission.

Here’s a hack to unlock the single user limitation and enable multiple concurrent remote desktop connection session support in Windows XP SP2 .So that unlimited users can simultaneously connect to a computers same user via Remote Desktop. Follow the steps below:

Download ConcurrentRemoteDesk.rar (To download click on the link) and extract the file (If you don’t have WinRAR click here to download).

Restart the computer and boot in Safe Mode by pressing F8 during initial boot up and by selecting Safe Mode. (This step is only required if you’re currently running Windows Terminal Services or Remote Desktop service, and System File Protection has to be skipped and bypassed, else it will prompt error).

Go to %windir%\System32 %windir%\System32\dllcacheand make a backup copy of termsrv.dll in both folders.

Copy the downloaded termsrv.dll into %windir%\System32,%windir%\ServicePackFiles\i386 (if exist), %windir%\System32\dllcache

Then run the downloaded Multiremotedesk.reg to merge the registry value into registry or you can add it manually
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Terminal Server\Licensing Core]
“EnableConcurrentSessions”=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
“EnableConcurrentSessions”=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
“AllowMultipleTSSessions”=dword:00000001

Click on Start Menu -> Run command and type gpedit.msc and press Enter to open up the Group Policy Editor.

Navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Terminal Services.

Enable Limit Number of Connections and set the number of connections to 3 (or more). This setting will allow more than one users to use the computer.

Ensure the Remote Desktop is enabled in System Properties -> Remote tab by selecting the radio button for Allow users to connect remotely to this computer.

Enable and turn on Fast User Switching in Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on or off.

Restart the computer normally.

To uninstall, revert back to original termsrv.dll .You probably have to do it in Safe Mode if the Terminal Services is enabled and running.

Allowing Network Access with Blank Passwords (XP and Vista)

Although you can log in locally without a password, by default, WindowsXP Pro does not allow network users to access the computer without a password. Typically you will receive an Unknown error 31 if this is the case.
To change this setting:
Run gpedit.msc
Go to Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security Options
Double click on Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console login only
Disable this option

Disabling the F3 Search Key

If you want to disable the ability to use the F3 key from either the Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions
Create a Dword value called NoFindFiles
Give it a value of 1
Reboot

Preventing Changes to File Associations

You can prevent users from changing associations via Windows Explorer’s Tools / Folder Options / File Types tab.
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explore
Create REG_DWORD data type NoFileAssociate
Give it a value of 1

Locking File Associations

If you have your file associations the way you want for a particular file type, you can remove it from the list that gets displayed in the Folder Options / File Types screen
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
Scroll to the file association you want to lock.
In the right panel, create a new Binary value
Call it EditFlags
Give it a value of 01 00 00 00
Now when you go to the Folder Options / File Types screen, you won’t see that file type listed.

Turning off System Beeps

If you want to turn off all system beeps (like the ones that go through your computers’ internal speaker):
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound
Edit the key Beep and give it a value of No
Download reg file

Changing the Location Of Special Folders

You can modify the registry to change the location of special folders like:
My Documents
Favorites
My Pictures
Personal
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Double click on any locations you want to change and alter the path
Logoff or restart for the changes to go into effect
Note: TweakUI from Microsoft will allow you to make these changes from a dialog box as well

Setting the Recycle Bin to Always Delete

You can set the recycle bin to always delete items (like holding down the shift key when dragging files to the recycle bin)
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ BitBucket
Set the key NukeOnDelete to 1
Download reg file

Setting the Internet Explorer Home Page

If you want to set the home page used by Internet Explorer through the registry
Start Regedit
Go to HKey_Current_User \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main
Give the Start Page key the string value you wish set as homepage

Preparing to Move Hard Drive to Another Computer

To remove the devices from device manager when taking a HD from one computer to another, simply:
Run Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ and delete the Enum section
This removes all of the hardware specific settings

Comparing Registries

While working with changes to your system, you might want to see what is changing in your Registry.Since you can export it to a text file, the steps are fairly easy
Start Regedit
With the very top level select – My Computer, on the Toolbar select Registry / Export Registry File
I usually save it to the root of the C: drive with the name before (you don’t need to add an extension)
Make the change to your system
Go back to Regedit
Press F5 to update it
Export the Registry like step 2
Name the file after and have it go in the same directory
Open up a DOS window
Go to the directory where the two exported files are
Enter FC before.reg after.reg > diff.txt
Then you can edit diff.txt with your favorite text editor.

Here are some useful hacks for Windows Vista. As usual, back up your registry before you try them.

To change the name of the registered user or company, browse to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion

and look for RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization. Double click on them and change the values.

Slow down animations

If you have a sufficiently powerful machine and love the animations in Vista, you might want to slow them down a bit. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Windows\DWM.
Once there, create a new key by right clicking on the space below existing keys and choose New > DWORD (32bit) Value.
Call it AnimationShiftKey and enter the value as 1. After rebooting the machine, whenever you want to slow down the animations, press the [Shift] key before it starts.
Encrypting and decrypting files in Vista is a multi-click process which takes a fair bit of navigating. With a registry hack, this task can be done with a simple right-click. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/ Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Advanced

and create a new 32-bit DWORD. Call it EncryptionValue and use the value as 1 there. After the system is restarted, you can get encrypting with just a right-click.

Speeding up Flip3D:

Eye candy is well and good, but not all of us have topof-the-line graphic cards to render all the sleek effects. This hack will limit the number of windows that are rendered in 3D, which will hopefully let you have your cake and eat it too.
Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
And create a new DWORD value called Max3DWindows. The value should be set to a number between 4 and 9:
higher the number the more muscle your graphics card needs to pack. Try it out with different number values by opening multiple windows and checking out the difference.

Creating a desktop shortcut for locking your comp!

If you use your computer in an area where others may have access to it, and there are things on your system you would rather have kept confidential, locking your desktop when you leave the computer is an essential task. Here’s a recipe for a desktop shortcut that will lock your computer in two easy clicks:

Right click on an empty area of the desktop and choose ‘new’ then ‘shortcut.’ The create shortcut wizard will open; in the first text box, type ‘%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation’ and then give your shortcut an appropriate name on the next page, and hit ‘finish.’

You will notice that the shortcut you created has a blank icon. To select a more appropriate one, right click on the shortcut and hit ‘properties.’ In the ‘shortcut’ tab, click the ‘change icon’ button.

In the ‘look for icons in this file’ box, type ‘%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll’ then click ‘ok’ to see a range of icons for your new shortcut. Choose an appropriate icon. Your desktop locking shortcut is now ready for use. Test it out.

Deleting System Softwares

XP hides some system software you might want to remove, such as Windows Messenger, but you can tickle it and make it disgorge everything. Using Notepad or Edit, edit the text file /windows/inf/sysoc.inf, search for the word ‘hide’ and remove it. You can then go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Windows Components and there will be your prey, exposed and vulnerable.

Creating Shutdown Icon or One Click Shutdown:

Navigate to your desktop. On the desktop, right-click and go to New, then to Shortcut (in other words, create a new shortcut). You should now see a pop-up window instructing you to enter a command line path.
Use this path in “Type Location of the Item”
SHUTDOWN -s -t 01
If the C: drive is not your local hard drive, then replace “C” with the correct letter of the hard drive. Click the “Next” button. Name the shortcut and click the “Finish” button. Now whenever you want to shut down, just click on this shortcut and you’re done.

Modify autoplay for different types of CD

Windows XP includes the ability to perform different actions depending on the type of CD you insert into the drive. For example, you could set your system to always respond to CDs containing MP3 files by opening Windows Media Player.

To edit the Autoplay properties: Open ‘my computer’. Right click on the drive you wish to set and select ‘properties.’ Choose the autoplay tab. Use the dropdown box to see the various recognized types of CD and choose appropriate actions for them.

I don’t see any reason for there to be a delay when I click on the Start Menu. Effects are pretty, but I wouldn’t click on it if I didn’t have business inside, so lets get it open and get moving. The default speed can be adjusted with a quick registry entry.
The default value is 400. Set it to 0 and the delay is gone, but it will be nearly impossible to move the mouse fast enough not to activate [All Programs] if you mouse over it in route to your final selection. It’s easy to train yourself to move the pointer to the right after clicking Start to avoid activating All Programs. Pick a number that suits your style and make the change, then test it until you find a good compromise between speed and usability.

Okay here’s the method:

Click Start, Run and type in Regedit

Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Look fo the key named MenuShowDelay
Setting for Value Data: (Default = 400 / Adjust to Preference Preferably 0)

Exit Registry and Reboot

Would you prefer to display your shortcuts without the arrow in the bottom left hand corner? This tip will show you how to change the arrow icon or remove it completely

To remove the shortcut arrows:

Method 1:
1. Open your notepad or any script editor

2. Copy and paste the script below into you notepad and save the file with .vbs extension e.g noArrow.vbs, just save it to your desktop

Option Explicit

Dim objShell, strRoot, strRead, strDelete, strCreate
strRoot = “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile\IsShortCut”
‘ Create the Shell object
Set objShell = CreateObject(“WScript.Shell”)
strDelete = objShell.RegDelete(strRoot)
WScript.Echo “Error No: ” & err.number & ” check ” & strRoot
strDelete = null
WScript.Quit

3. Double click your VBScript, then ‘OK’ the message box. To see the arrows disappear, simply logoff and logon again. Tadaaa!!!! The arrows disappear!!..hahaaaa

Method 2:

Open Registry editor

Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

Find piffile and lnkfile…………………….and just delete it.

Reboot your computer.

To Change the Icon:
Open the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Explorer\Shell Icons] and create a new string value, or modify the existing value, called ’29′. Set it to equal the filename, including path, for the icon you want to use for the shortcut arrow. By setting this to a blank icon it has a similar effect to the removal method above, without the side effects.

Restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

Note: This tweak effectively changes the properties of shortcuts so they are no longer considered to be shortcuts by Windows, this may have some slight side effects, such as hot keys not working as before.
